To celebrate the Third China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF), the 2007 ICIF Art festival opens this week (See schedule below).
Apart from several putonghua dramas, acrobatics shows and traditional Chinese operas, Western concerts and ballets will also be staged during the festival.
Eastman Quintet from Eastman School of Music in the U.S. will hold a concert June 2, where it will be joined by Shenzhen pianist Zuo Zhang.
Four concerts featuring the music of Liszt will be performed by pianists Fernando Lires, Walter Ponce, Nelita True, Mykola Suk and Jenny Tang and violinist Sophia Silivos.
Performances by Shenzhen artists include a Buddist choir concert and the dance drama "Soul of Painting."(Cao Zhen)
