As an innovation in the process of the growth of the Universiade, we plan to create a “World University Students’ Dream Bank”, to launch a contest to elect university campus queens, “on-line Universiade”, “International Student Carnival” and other cultural activities. We are resolved to turn the Universiade into an innovative, enthusiastic and exciting festival that will raise the influence of the Universiade and its participation. The above ideas will also help the Universiade to make profit and it will write a new chapter in the history of the Universiade.
Ladies and gentlemen, A few years ago, I was a member of a university basketball team. My years in the university were characterized by youthful zest and team spirit that motivated me to work for university sports. I remain zealous about university sports. Today China has the largest university population. University sports are expanding and competitiveness is increasing. Standing here on behalf of one fifth of the world university students, I sincerely hope that you will personally help fly the wings of innovation and dream from Shenzhen to every corner of the earth. Believe me, Shenzhen is able to attract young people from all over the world.
