让我们跟随宝安中学（集团）塘头学校外教Alvaro的脚步一起感受元宵的快乐，了解正月十五舞麒麟、吃汤圆、闹元宵的独特文化魅力。

Let’s follow Alvaro, the foreign teacher from Bao’an Middle School (Group) Tangtou School, to experience the joy and the happiness of Lantern Festival and to learn about the unique cultural charm of it: the wonderful kylin dance, the typical food tangyuan and the special activities of celebration.

塘头学校的学生邀请外教老师Alvaro去家中包汤圆，了解正月十五闹元宵的独特文化魅力，体验中国元宵佳节的无穷趣味。

The students from Tangtou School invited Alvaro to their home to make tangyuan together, through which he could learn about the unique cultural charm of the Lantern Festival and experience the fun.

在奶奶的指导下，Alvaro很快就学会了做汤圆的基本步骤，并且技术越来越熟练。在一片欢声笑语中，Alvaro感受到阖家团圆的美意和中国人对传统节日的传承和热爱。

With the help of Grandmother, Alvaro soon learned the basic steps of making tangyuan and became more and more skilled. Amid laughter, Alvaro felt the beauty of family reunion and Chinese people’s inheritance and love for traditional festivals.

大红灯笼高高挂，汤圆饺子包起来。这就是元宵节，中国的传统节日之一，既是新年的第一个月圆之夜，也接近春节的尾声。在这大地回春的夜晚，阖家团圆，一起赏花灯、吃汤圆、猜灯谜、放烟花、游龙灯、舞狮子，这一切都充满了祥和的气息。

With red lanterns hanging high and tangyuan and dumplings made and tasted, the Lantern Festival, the first full-moon night of the Chinese New Year, represents the end of the Spring Festival. The evening sees the return of spring, and witnesses the whole family gather together to enjoy festival lanterns, tangyuan, lantern riddles, fireworks, dragon lanterns and lion dances, all of which are full of peace and happiness.
