来到了茅洲河畔
Today
Two students from Yanshan School
are taking foreign teacher Berney
to the bank of Maozhou River
他们首先来到茅洲河观景台
——“碧道之环”
同学们为外教讲解了
其中“天圆地方”的设计理念
引得外教连连称赞
At first, they come to Ring of Maozhou,
the viewing platform of Maozhou River.
The students explain to Berney the design philosophy of
round heaven and square earth.
He feels quite amazed by it.

切实感受到茅洲河治理后带来的巨大改变
In the dome 3D cinema，
they enjoy the beautiful scenery of Maozhou River
and see the tremendous changes
after the water control of Maozhou River.
茅洲河，发源于羊台山北麓，连绵流经光明与宝安，干流全长31.3公里，是深圳第一大河。历史上的茅洲河鱼虾成群、水草丰美。随着经济、产业、人口爆发式增长，水污染问题日益严重，这使茅洲河一度成为广东省水质最差的一条河流，被称为深圳脸上的一道疤。近年来，宝安攻坚水污染治理主战场，仅用4年打造治水提质“宝安模式”，如今茅洲河处处水清岸绿、鱼翔浅底、鸥鹭齐飞。
Originating from the north of Yangtai Mountain, Maozhou River flows through Guangming District and Bao'an District. The main stream of Maozhou River covers a length of 31.3 kilometers, making it the longest river in Shenzhen. Maozhou River once boasted a rich variety of fish, shrimps, and water plants. However, as the area became more industrialized and populated, the water pollution became more serious, and later, even turned into the worst polluted river in Guangdong for a time. Maozhou River has thus been referred to as a scar on the face of Shenzhen. Since then, Bao’an District has waged a battle against water pollution and developed the well-known Bao’an Pattern of water control within four years. Now, Maozou River is clean with numerous fish swimming and birds flying around.

“洪佛拳”已有300多年的历史
现在是市一级的非物质文化遗产
On the bank of Maozhou River,
they come across some inheritors of Hong Fo Quan
They learn that Hong Fo Quan enjoys a long history
of over 300 years
and is now listed as the Intangible Cultural Heritage
in Shenzhen.

看着正在训练的深圳市皮划艇队队员们
呼吸着新鲜空气
感受着鸟语花香
这一切都来之不易
Standing on the bank of Maozhou River,
they find some teenagers
from Shenzhen Canoe Team doing kayak training
The air is really fresh.
Birds are singing everywhere.
But these are all gained by efforts.
绿水青山就是金山银山
只有“经济”、“环境”两手抓
才能实现真正的发展
在此祝愿祖国繁荣昌盛

Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.
Real development can only be realized
by paying equal attention to the ecology
while developing the economy.
