Katherine（Yang Lizi is her Chinese name）, an American girl, spends her first Spring Festival in China. As she says, lantern, lion dance and Spring Festival scrolls are the most symbolic signs of Chinese New Year. In the first episode of Expats Spend Spring Festival in Shenzhen, we will see how overseas students like her celebrate the Year of Ox and feel the dense festival atmosphere.

Expats Spend Spring Festival in Shenzhen is based on a series report conducted by Longhua District, Shenzhen, during2021 Spring Festival. Foreign Tiktok influencers take part in the Lucky Bag Flash activities, inlcluding appreciating the Hakka style Spring Festival culture, visiting international street in Longhua District, touring Aohu Art Village and Guanlan Lake Handicraft Factory, in order to feel the traditional Spring Festival atmosphere and special humanistic ecology in Longhua. 在2月17日推出的第一集中，美国姑娘阳离子操着流利的普通话开始了龙华春节之旅：大年初一登上龙华有轨电车出去玩，她和其他乘客一样，收获一包新年福袋，这是龙华区政府为留深过年的人准备的春节礼物，里面有精美的小册子、贺年卡和利是糖。阳离子决定把这份温暖传递下去，她也准备了自己的福袋，送给还在辛勤工作的环卫工人。
In the first episode that launched on17th February, American girl Katherine starts her Spring Festival tour in Longhua with fluent mandarin. In the first day of lunar new year, she gets on tramcar in Longhua to hang out and gets a lucky bag of new year, just like what other passengers do. It is the Longhua District government who prepares these Spring Festival gifts, including fine booklets, greeting cards and lucky candies, for whom stay in Shenzhen for this lunar new year.
Katherine decides to pass on the warmth to others. She makes her own lucky bags and sends them to the sanitation workers who are still on duty during the Spring Festival.
