Aiming to spread Chinese traditional culture
and promote the integration of cultures
around the world students from Bao’an
and their foreign teachers
would like to invite you to celebrate
the Spring Festival of Year of the Ox
by travelling around Shenzhen to discover
the fun and hospitality of the city
Let’s enjoy our happy OX new year
with foreign teachers this winter holiday!
春天在哪里呀？
春天在阳台山的山水花木里
春节寻春“迹”
今天
石岩公学的同学们带着他们的外教
一起登上了阳台山
Where can we trace the breath of spring?
In Yang Tai Mountain!
It can be traced in Yang Tai Mountain
which boasts smoothly-flowing water
wildly-blossoming flowers
and vigorously-thriving new leaves
Spring is around the corner!
As a prologue of the Spring Festival
today, students from Shiyan Public School
are taking their foreign teachers to climb
YangTai Mountain and trace the breath of spring

外教们分别从石岩入口和大浪入口登山

介绍了抗日战争时期的故事
Led by the students
two groups of foreign teachers started
their journey from Shiyan entrance
and Dalang entrance of
Yang Tai Mountain respectively
Standing in front of the Monument of
the Great Victorious Rescue
Zoe Huang, a student of SYPS IB
international department
told the international teachers the stories
that happened in Yang Tai Mountain
during the War of Resistance against Japan period
阳台山地跨宝安、南山和龙华三区，青山翠峦，自然风景优美，同时它也曾是游击队东江纵队的根据地，抗战时期游击队员们曾拯救出大批文化界和爱国民主人士，因此阳台山又是一座英雄山。
Stretching across Bao’an, Nanshan and Longhua Districts, Yang Tai Mountain presents a charming natural scenery with lush greenery. During the War of Resistance against Japan, it was the base of the Dongjiang Column, which had rescued many intellectuals and patriots. That’s why Yang Tai Mountain is also known as a mountain of heroes.
登山活动十分热闹
他们拾级而上
阳台山上年味初上
一路大红灯笼很是喜庆
为了向外教更好地展现中华春节文化
同学们特地准备了
具有中国“年”味儿的美食
并解释了这些食物当中蕴含的美好寓意
Mountaineering was a jolly process
On their way up the mountain the atmosphere of
the Spring Festival was building up
Signs of the coming Chinese New Year
descending on Yang Tai Mountain
which was stressed by big red lanterns
along the roads
Students brought some
traditional Chinese snacks
for their foreign teachers to enjoy
For a better knowledge on Chinese cultures
on the Spring Festival
SYPS students explained the profound messages
conveyed by these New Year snacks
行至花溪廊
身着汉服的崔裕熙同学拿出纸笔
在红纸上大秀书法
手把手教外教书写“福”字
并通过有趣的挑战任务
让外教了解阳台山的神话传说
Upon reaching Huaxi Corridor
they saw Bob Cui (student of SYPS)
in Han Chinese Clothing teaching
his foreign teacher to write
the Chinese character “福”
(meaning good fortune or blessing)
The students also introduced
the legends of Yang Tai Mountain
to the international teachers by designing
an interesting challenge for them
登顶阳台山
整个宝安尽收眼底
一路的攀登
同学们带外教们领略了
深圳改革开放40多年发展的精彩点滴
见证了一代代深圳人
在这片土地上的耕耘与收获
作为新一代的深圳人
和世界各地来深的建设者
我们将共同承担起
深圳繁荣发展的责任
在新的一年共铸辉煌！
On the top of Yang TaiMountain
they had a bird’s-eye view of Bao’an District
While climbing up the mountain
they not only enjoyed
the fantastic view of the scenery
but also learnt about the splendid stories of
the Reform and Opening-up Policy
in the past four decades
They witnessed the hard work
and harvest of Shenzhen citizens
from one generation to another
As the young generation of Shenzhen
and contributors from around the world
we shoulder the responsibility of
Shenzhen's development and prosperity
Let’s spare no efforts to fight for
a brilliant future for Shenzhen
in the coming new year!
