THE forthcoming China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF) is expected to attract a record 7,000 buyers from overseas, almost double the number last year.
“So far we have received registration forms from nearly 5,000 buyers from more than 20 countries. Taking into consideration the number of professional visitors to the fair’s 18 subvenues across the city, the number is more than that,” said Ye Jianqiang, managing director of the ICIF, yesterday.
This year’s ICIF, the third since 2005, will be held at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center and 18 other subvenues across the city’s five districts between May 17 and 20. It will also attract 20,000 buyers from mainland cities, according to Ye.
This is the first time that the Ministry of Commerce has co-sponsored the fair with three other organizers, the Ministry of Culture, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and the General Administration of Press and Publication.
