| The 26km thoroughfare is also a scenic belt and cultural museum, stretching westwards from Xinxiu Village in Luohu District to the Nantou Checkpoint in Nanshan District. Along the parkway lined with beautifully trimmed trees and flowers, you can take a glimpse at the city's forested public areas, modern skyscrapers as well as traditional Cantonese buildings. |
| Binhai Thoroughfare |
| The 9.6km coastal parkway runs parallel south of Shenzhen Thoroughfare. Flanked with coconut trees and other subtropical plants, it commands fascinating sea views. |
| Mangrove Natural Reserve |
The natural reserve lies where Binhai Thoroughfare runs by the Shenzhen Bay. Although the smallest national natural reserve, it is home to quite a few rare plant species including mangrove, Excoecaria agallocha, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza and Kandelia candel. It is also a habitat for up to 180 species of birds, including 20 of the world's rare species.

| Zhongying Street |
| Zhongying (Sino-British) Street stretches from Shatoujiao in Yantian District into Hong Kong. It was co-governed by China and Britain before Hong Kong's return to the motherland in 1997, and is now under joint management by the governments of Shenzhen and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. In the middle of the street, there are eight former boundary stones made in 1898. You can also visit a museum showing the century-long history. |

The 384-meter-tall Shun Hing Square (a.k.a. Diwang Mansion) is the highest building in Shenzhen. It offers sightseeing, entertainment and food services on its 69th floors, which commands excellent vistas of the city.

The 360-meter-tall SEG Plaza, Shenzhen's second highest building, is another place for a decent bird's view of the city. It offers a variety of services on both the 71st and 72nd floors, with a total area of more than 1,380 square meters.
