The moon partially covers the sun during a partial solar eclipse seen from Maccabim, near Tel Aviv March 29, 2006. A total solar eclipse cast a shadow across Africa and tracked on to the Middle East on Wednesday. The track of the eclipse stretches from Brazil, across the Atlantic to North Africa, then on to the Middle East, Central Asia, west China and Mongolia.
